Tracking
Living things move through the land and leave behind tracks
and other signs of their passage. Knowledge of tracking allows
scouts to recognize and interpret these signs to follow the
tracks. The ability associated with this skill is: Track
Camping
Scouts must often spend their time in the wilderness. Knowledge
and experience with the outdoors allows scouts to set up a
comfortable camp each night and recover from the day's long
journey. This skill reflects the scout's ability to choose an
appropriate campsite and make it as comfortable as possible.
Anyone can erect a makeshift camp, but only those with real
knowledge and experience can get the most out of the land
during resting times. The ability for this skill is: Camp
Foraging
Sometimes, scouts need to live outdoors and off the land for
extended periods. The need to move quickly and pack lightly
means that they must be able to provide for themselves while
outdoors. The foraging skill reflects a scout's ability to
find food and even crude weapons out in the wilderness. The
